It seems like the whole cryptoverse is waiting for BTC to make a big move. Even though the market has mostly been moving sideways, there has still been a lot going on in the space. Prices of cryptocurrencies listed on Coinbase and CoinMarketCap.com briefly went haywire on Tuesday, with many tokens showing astronomical gains that had some users believing they had quite literally landed on the moon! The Ethereum network upgrade Arrow Glacier went live on Thursday. Polygon rolled out EIP-1559 on its Mumbai testnet. Even the Trump’s are getting cryptowise, Melania Trump is releasing an NFT that will cost 1 SOL each. Finally, it would not be a week in crypto without some FUD, the latest from the Bank of England saying BTC could go to zero. Ironically, the Twitterverse immediately sprang into action, tweeting charts showing how much value the pound has lost against BTC since its inception. Worth zooming out now and again as a reminder of how much value BTC and crypto markets have gained in the long run.
